TJ Westlake Awarded Status as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business

Potomac Falls, VA, June 15, 2016 – TJ Westlake, a government consulting firm that specializes in providing technology services and solutions , was recently certified by the federal government as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), bringing new opportunities to its partners.

While TJ Westlake was previously self-certified as a SDVOSB, the new certification allows them to work with even more government agencies across the United States. Since 2003, all government entities have an annual goal of awarding at least 3 percent of all government contracts and subcontracts to small businesses owned and controlled by service-disabled veterans, those awarded SDVOSB status.

“The SDVOSB federal certification has opened new opportunities for us,” says Plofchan. “This certification validates and expands our reach into the SDVOSB 3 percent set-aside. This new status gives us and our partners a competitive advantage when bidding on projects at the federal level. It is a very valuable asset.” – THOMAS PLOFCHAN, PRESIDENT

Thomas Plofchan, President of TJ Westlake and service-disabled veteran of the Navy, is excited to work with our partners and the government on new opportunities.

“We stand ready to provide even more government agencies with our outstanding technical services and unique solutions,” says Plofchan. “Additionally we look forward to partnering with other firms to provide even more solutions to the government.”
